What this app does
Fake SMTP server that catches outgoing mail so developers can read it
What it is talking to
Nothing. This app does not call any outside service, so there is nothing standing in for one.
How this demo runs
Your own machine
A virtual machine with its own kernel, started for you. Nobody else is in it.
The real thing
smtp4dev's own published image, pinned to 31ac1ccb15b9, not a recording
or a scripted tour.
Then it is gone
Yours for 15 minutes, and the clock starts when the app is
ready. The machine is destroyed at the end, with everything in it.
Recorded, for you
Every hostname it reaches for is captured outside the machine, so the
software cannot edit its own record. It is kept under History, readable only by you.
