Many self-hosted apps want a Google account, a Stripe key, an S3 bucket, or just a live website to watch. We run stand-ins for a lot of them, already full of believable data, and the list keeps growing. The Gmail has mail in it. The finance data has a year of history. You never need an API key to see how an app really works.

They answer from inside your session and never reach the real vendor, so working here is not proof the app works against Google.
